It's no secret that I love live music. Prior commitments and events didn't allow me the opportunity to get to Pitchfork this past weekend. Man, I really, really wanted last Friday's itinerary to involve Beck, Kendrick Lamar, St. Vincent and Grimes in real life but instead it was a day of two deadlines, a phone interview and enjoying the sounds on Spotify instead of in-person.
Chicago's next festival, Lollapalooza (yet another reason Chicago is the best city ever) starts a week from this Friday. And while this year my bank account (ah! the life of a freelance writer) will sadly be keeping me from Lolla 2014, I do plan to scope out some peeps with serious festival style, and hopefully a few after shows and events like I did last year. One of those stops will be the Red Door Spa at Block Thirty Seven at LollaShop. An easy beauty pit stop on your way to Grant Park, the luxury spa pop-up will be offering complimentary spa and salon services to festival goers.
So, ladies, fix those late night eyes with a collagen eye treatment for $10, get a mini manicure for $10 or visit the pony, braid and bun bar for hair tinsel, feathers or extensions for $20 each... no appointment required.
